With an occasional hot press of an iron, these sheets feel sexy, heavy, smooth and luxurious. The sheen developed at these moments is not fleeting… it lasts through multiple washings.
The finest natural Normandy linen has a unique property: when pressed the sheen on the surface becomes smoother, because the starch that pushes to the surface during the heating process stays, creating a natural barrier and extending longevity. They will last a lifetime.
Our sheets are finished using traditional stitching, just as was done in colonial times. A selvedge to selvedge seam lays perfectly flat through the middle of the sheet, and ties the long, wide panels into their final width of 94 inches. The linens are also finished with a 2” inch top hem and ½” bottom hem.
More on sheet sizes here: will the sheet fit?
Many have asked, what is the thread count of your linens? As master weavers know, it is not the number of threads, but the quality of the threads that matter. Humble Linens are made with the finest threads the world has to offer.
This is no ordinary endeavor. Only the serious need inquire.
100% handwoven linen sheets are an item of great luxury. Once you try them, you will settle for nothing less.
